The ACS National Meeting was held in Orlando, FL from March 31 - April 4, 2019 and GHS was well represented. The following are a few highlights of interest:
- The theme of the 257th ACS National Meeting was “Chemistry for New Frontiers.” The meeting had 15,605 attendees.
- H.N. Cheng and Carol A. Duane were selected as candidates for 2020 President-Elect. These two candidates, along with any candidates selected via petitions, will stand for election in the Fall National Election.
- The ACS member dues rate for 2020 will be held at the 2019 rate of $175, as approved at Council.
- ACS net membership grew slightly in 2018 with a strong contribution from new members.
