Chemist Celebrate Earth Day

To recognize the importance of Earth Day, the Greater Houston Section in collaboration with the University of St. Thomas ACS Student Chapter will be hosting a screening of the film, “Disruption”.  This 50-minute documentary examines the issues surrounding climate change.  After the screening, Dr. Dan Cohan, associate professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering department at Rice University, will lead a discussion on the themes presented in the film.  The event is free and open to the public.  It will be held at the University of St. Thomas in Anderson 103 (map of campus: http://www.stthom.edu/About/Maps_and_Directions/Interactive_Map.aqf?Page_ID=100011).  Start time is 6:30 p.m. beginning with registration and refreshments.  Screening will commence at 7:00 p.m.  Event will end at approximately 9:00 p.m.
