Each year since 1957, The Robert A. Welch Foundation hosts a conference which draws leading scientists from around the world to explore state-of-the-art research in various areas of chemistry. The Foundation sponsors these annual conferences in order to support increased fundamental research in chemistry. The title of the 65th annual Welch Conference in Chemical Research is: Molecules and Sculpted Light. Presiding over the conference will be an emeritus member of the Welch Scientific Advisory Board, Dr. W. E. Moerner, Harry S. Mosher Professor of Chemistry and Professor, by courtesy, of Applied Physics, Stanford University.
